I’ve decided to do a series of 30-day challenges, and I thought the best way to track my progress and keep myself accountable would be to start a blog. Besides, what better way to share my thoughts with the world, whether the world is ready for them or not? The name of the blog was inspired by the quote “Television: chewing gum for the eyes,” which has been attributed to a lot of people, but most likely originated with Henri Peyre of Yale.
After too many years in the retail grocery business, I went back to school and made a career change. I’m now a technical writer who secretly longs to be a copy editor. I’m a knitter, reader, crafter, supertaster, Jeopardy champion, and aunt to 9-year-old twins. I love my niblings, Starbucks chai, sleeping late, zebra-patterned anything, Monty Python, pinot grigio, Orphan Black, and dogs. I hate green peppers, cleaning the bathroom, spicy food, the Yankees, shaving my legs, and people who poke along in the fast lane.
Thanks for joining me on my journey!
